Who has more ink than they will ever use? Even if you don't consider yourself to be "artistic," it's pretty easy and fun to put drops of fountain pen ink in a paint palette and use a water brush to paint on fountain pen friendly or watercolor paper, especially to color in pre-printed designs—but depending on what you are painting, you may not have all the ink colors you want right at hand. This workshop is an opportunity try painting with ink and mixing colors to create a wide range of bright and muted colors to paint with using an ink palette of just four "CMYK" colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, like the ink colors found in a standard inkjet printer). After a brief introduction you'll make a simple color wheel and then practice mixing a variety of colors to paint in stained-glass coloring page designs.

60 minute workshop (all materials will be provided for use during the workshop)

Space is limited based on room size. First come basis.

Lisa found a podcast about pens and saw a Col-o-ring of ink swatches several years ago and hasn't looked back since. She posts about pens and ink (among other things) at https://oliveoctopus.ink, streams swatching and painting with inks on Twitch, and in addition to a day job as a front-end web developer also works part time at The Gentleman Stationer shop in Nashville, TN.
